Edgar Hughes Munyan 91, of Allentown, was born January 18th, 1927, died June 30, 2018 at Westminster Village in Allentown. He was married to Doris Simons Munyan for 64 years before her death in 2014. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Curtis Edgar Munyan and Bessie May Hughes. Edgar was a WW2 veteran of the US Navy. He was a graduate of Houghton College in Houghton, NY and Evangelical Theological Seminary in Naperville, IL. He served his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ faithfully as an ordained minister of the Gospel for over 50 years in the Evangelical United Brethren, United Methodist, Evangelical Free, and Bible Fellowship denominations. He was a member of the Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship Church in Allentown, PA and Calvary Baptist Church in Easton, PA. Edgar was an avid vocalist and performed with his wife Doris over many decades. He loved bowling, tennis, pool, and ping pong but was willing to engage in any sport with enthusiasm. He was a godly man who loved the Lord with all his heart, serving Him faithfully even to the very end of his life. Many lives were touched and changed forever because of his service to the Lord. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Survivors: Sons, Stephen A. Munyan and wife Lynn of Myrtle Beach, SC, Daniel E. Munyan and wife Leslie of Elizabethtown, PA, and John S. Munyan and wife Beth of Nazareth, PA; 8 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by wife, Doris S. Munyan and daughter, Kathy Lois Munyan. Services: Memorial Service Saturday, July 7, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Cedar Crest Bible Fellowship, 1151 S Cedar Crest Blvd, Allentown, PA 18103. Friends may call at the church from 12 to 12:45 P.M.
