Douglas C. Urffer, 67, of Macungie, died Jan. 5, 2022 in St. Luke's Hospital Allentown Campus.  He was the husband of Diane M. (Lorish) "DeeDee" Urffer.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of Betty Jane (Nuss) Urffer of Emmaus and the late Carl F. Urffer.  Doug was a 1972 graduate of Emmaus High School.  He worked and later owned and operated Carl Urffer and Sons Floor Covering, Inc., Emmaus for 50 years, retiring in 2016.  He was a former baseball coach for Union Terrace Athletic Club.

Doug is survived by his wife of 40 years, Diane "DeeDee"; mother; son, Nicholas Carl Redfurn of Baltimore, MD; daughter, Victoria Jean (Urffer) wife of John Detweiler of Allentown; 4grandchildren; 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
