Douglas Stephen Mabus, 68, of Emmaus, died May 25, 2024 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.  He was the husband of Tamara L. Salmon-Mabus.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of Buraldine H. (Stephen) Mabus and the late Richard C. Mabus.  Doug was a graduate of Montville High School and earned a bachelor's degree in computer science from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a master's degree in computer science from Fairleigh Dickinson University.  Doug worked in software development and project management for the City of Newark, ADP, Hoffmann-La Roche, and retired from United Healthcare in Basking Ridge, NJ.  He was a happy skier and avid fisherman, and loved to share his knowledge and experience with others.

Douglas will be remembered by his wife of 37 years, Tamara; mother, Beanie; brother, John R. Mabus (Donna); sister, Patricia A. Mabus (Mel); 3 nieces and 1 nephew; 1 great nephew.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
