Douglas A. Hassler Douglas A. Hassler, 70, of Cordell, OK, formerly of Bethlehem, died June 9, 2010 in Select Specialty Hospital, Oklahoma City, OK. He was the husband of Ruth E. (Correll) Hassler. They celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary in December 2009. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Wilmer G. Hassler, Sr. and Marie E. (Bassler) Hassler. He was a 1957 graduate of Liberty High School. He honorably served his country in the Air Force as a Chief Master Sgt. for 26 years, retiring in 1987. Later he wrote proposals for various companies for the government. He was a former member of West Side Moravian Church. Survivors: Wife; Son, Brian Hassler of Phoenix, AZ; Former Wife, Georgia (Basey) Hassler; Brothers, Clarence E. Hassler and wife Joan of Warriors Mark and Wilmer G. Hassler, Jr. and wife the Rev. Marge Hassler of Bethlehem; Stepdaughter, Christal Ann Remy of Tulsa, OK; Grandson, Titus Remy. Services: Graveside Services with military honors will be private at the convenience of the family.
