IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Dorothy L.
Warmkessel
February 6, 1937 – February 15, 2021
Dorothy "Dottie" Warmkessel of Emmaus rejoined loved ones on February 15, 2021, after 84 years of enjoying life with friends and family. She was the beloved wife of the late Leonard "Lenny" S. Warmkessel Sr. for 29 years. Dottie was preceded in death by her first husband of 24 years, Anthony "Tony" Snyder of Lenhartsville, where they enjoyed their farm with many animals. Dottie was loving known as "Auntie" to her pride and joys, godson and nephew Frankie, grandnephews Brandon & Trent, and grandniece Grace. Born in Hazelton, she was the daughter of the late Marvin A and Lillian C. (Eckert) Lowe. After graduating from Allentown High School in 1955 she began her career at The Call Chronical (The Morning Call) as the only woman, at that time, keypunch computer operator for 31 years, which she was very proud of. Dottie's favorite things besides being with family were her many pets, gardening her fruits and vegetables, listening to her favorite artist Elvis, dancing, going on adventures with her lifelong best friend Millie, exercising at the former Curves gym, meeting up with "the girls" for brunch, cooking, baking, playing cards, and smiling and laughing as often as possible.
Survivors: Nephew, Frank J. Bors Jr (married to Megan Bors); grandniece Grace Lilian Bors of Catasauqua; grandnephews Brandon Nathaniel and Trent Anthony Bors both of Allentown; sister-in-law Catherine Koch of Hazelton; late husband Lenny's daughter Peggy Timbo, granddaughters Tanya Tumas (married to William Tumas) and Leah Warmkessel; as well as other family members and numerous friends that she loved dearly. She was predeceased by sister Sandra "Sandy" Bors, brother-in-law Frank Bors Sr, niece Kerri Ann Bors and brothers Robert Lowe and Richard Koch.
