Dorothy E. Ashcraft, 68, of Macungie, died Nov. 29, 2022 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.  She was the wife of John M. Ashcraft, III.  Born in Yale, MI, she was the daughter of the late Donald L. and Helen (Phelps) Riley.  Dorothy worked in the retail and travel industry.  She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus.  She loved raising her children and being a grandmother.  She enjoyed traveling, was known for her baking, and loved her dogs, especially her pugs.

Dorothy is survived by her loving husband of 50 years, John; daughters, Emily wife of David Meyers of West Groove, Julie wife of Justin O'Leary of Coatesville, and Andrea wife of Scott Klaverkamp of Albuquerque, NM; grandchildren, Riley, Amelia, Elizabeth, and Ryan; sister, Jeanette wife of Clarence Rose of Radford, VA; several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by sisters, Ruth Anne Riley and Francine Schmidt.

Funeral services will be held on Mon., Dec. 5, 2022 at 11:00 AM in St. John's Lutheran Church, 501 Chestnut St., Emmaus, PA 18049.  Viewing 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the church.  Interment will follow in Northwood Cemetery.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
