Doris Ruth (Kelley) Schneck, 97, of Salisbury Township, died December 3, 2017, in the Trexler Wing of the Phoebe Home in Allentown, PA.  She was the wife of the late Arthur H. Schneck with whom she co-owned Art Schneck Optical Co. of Emmaus and Allentown. She was also predeceased by son Donald R. Schneck who owned the optical company after Arthur Schneck retired.  She was the daughter of the late Henry Kelley and Beulah (Mackes) Kelley.

A 1937 graduate of Wm. Allen High School, she worked in a glove factory in Allentown before marrying Arthur Schneck in 1940. During their years as owners of Art Schneck Optical Co., Doris was in charge of payroll and record keeping.  She enjoyed traveling with her husband to tropical islands as well as Europe, especially the country of Ireland, the home of her ancestral roots.

She is survived by son Dale A. Schneck of Salisbury Township, daughters Carol Schneck Ritter and her husband Douglas of Sarasota, Florida; and Debra Schneck Stephenson and her husband Jeffrey of Lower Macungie Township.

She is also survived by five grandchildren: Jeffrey Ritter and wife Cate of Monterey, CA; Amanda Schneck of New Tripoli; Brett Stephenson and wife Adrienne of Philadelphia; Sean Stephenson and wife Amanda of Plymouth Meeting; and Kelley Ritter Kirsch and husband Keri of Lancaster.

Surviving great-grandchildren are Maya, Gavin and Madelynn

Services: Funeral Services will be held on Thurs. Dec. 7, 2017 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Emmaus Moravian Cemetery.
