Doris E. Brunner, 90, formerly of Allentown, died Feb. 9, 2022 in Complete Care at Lehigh Center, where she was a resident for 8 years.  Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Andrew and Theresa (Urban) Brunner.  Doris lived in East Allentown all of her life, living with her parents who immigrated from Austria.  She graduated from Allentown High School and after graduation she went on to Allentown School of Cosmetology.  She became a hairdresser and started her own beauty shop business on E. Elm Street in Allentown.  Doris had her shop for 45 years.  On her days off, she became interested in painting beautiful scenes, landscapes, and many other beautiful pictures.  She was a great artist and did some traveling with her cousin Margie.

Doris is survived by her sister, Ella wife of William McNear; nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by a brother, William.

Services will be private.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
