Donald R. Dick Readinger Donald R. Dick Readinger, 93, of Macungie, died May 15, 2008. He was married to Eva M. (Bundy) Readinger on Aug. 23, 1941 by the late Rev. Elmer Kidd. They celebrated their 66th wedding anniversary last year. Born June 16, 1914 in Macungie, he was the son of the late Henry G. and Mary Ellen (Romig) Readinger, owners of the General Store in Macungie. He was a 1932 graduate of Emaus High School. He served as a Post Office Clerk prior to his employment with John Rems and Sons, Macungie. He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Macungie and a choir member for 30 years. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Mens Club of Macungie, the treasurer of the Macungie Band for many years, and as a member, played the alto saxophone for 40 years. He was a trustee of Solomons Union Cemetery Association, a charter life member of the Macungie Historical Society, Inc. at the Macungie Institute, a life member of Macungie Fire Co. #1, a member of the Senior Citizens Club of Macungie, a member of AARP, and was a past member of Lower Lehigh AARP Chapter. Survivors: Wife; Daughter, Mary R. wife of Thomas W. Schuck of Macungie; Granddaughter, Stephanie A. wife of William F. Lone of Florida; Great Grandsons, Alexander J. and Patrick T. Lone. He was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Ann Readinger. Services: Family and friends are invited to call Tuesday, May 20, 2008 from 9:30 to 10:30 AM in Grace Lutheran Church, 28 West Main St., Macungie, followed by a funeral service at 10:30 AM with Rev.
