Donald R. Schaffer Donald R. Schaffer, 83, of Macungie, died April 10, 2009 in the Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the husband of Mae E. (Engler) Schaffer. They celebrated their 62nd anniversary in August 2008. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Robert F. and Mary A. (Kemmerer) Schaffer. He was an inspector for the former Western Electric for 33 years retiring in 1981. He was a member of St. Pauls Blue Church, Coopersburg. He honorably served his country in the Navy during WWII. Survivors: Wife; Son, David B. Schaffer and his wife Audrey of Emmaus; Grandchildren, Michele and Robert. Services: Funeral Services Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 11:00 AM in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.
