Donald Freeman Heffner, 98, of Macungie, passed away May 12, 2025.  He was the husband of the late Irene H. (Reifsnyder) Heffner.  Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Freeman and Pearl (Fink) Heffner.  Donald graduated from Emmaus High School in 1945.  He honorably served his country in the Army during WWII.  He retired from Air Products, Inc.  Donald was a member of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church.  He was a member of AARP, Emmaus Senior Citizens, member and past president of Macungie Senior Citizens, member of Lower Lehigh Lions Club, and member of the Macungie VFW.  He was also a member of the Macungie Fire Co. and was a Cub Scout leader.

Donald is survived by his daughters, Donna Heffner and Greg Fiore of Longboat Key, FL, Terri wife of Ray Reeder of Bath, and Janice wife of Dennis Koch of Allentown; sons, Larry Heffner and wife Kathy of Macungie and Todd Heffner of Macungie; 9 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  He was predeceased by a brother, Arlan Heffner.

A funeral service will be held on Sat., May 17, 2025 at 11:00 AM in Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Rd., Allentown, PA 18103.  Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church.  Interment with military honors will follow in Western Salisbury Cemetery.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus handling arrangements.
