Donald E. Baumer, 100, of Devon House, Allentown passed away on September 7, 2015 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. Born July 15, 1915 he was the son of the late Elmore and Mae (Iobst) Baumer. Donald was predeceased by his wife, Eleanor (Miller) Baumer. They enjoyed many years as antique dealers and owned the Little Lehigh Antique Shop on Mill Race Road in Emmaus. Before retirement in 1980, Donald and his son, Richard owned the Phil Allen Co. Richard predeceased his father in 2000. Donald graduated Emmaus High School in 1933. He played four years of football and enjoyed watching Penn State and Eagles games all his life. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking, hunting, and fishing. He was a lifetime member of the Unami Fish and Game Club, serving as secretary and president. He was a past president of the Lehigh County Federation of Sportsmen Clubs and a past vice president of the International Fur Workers Union. He was a 50 year member of the Emmaus Masonic Lodge #792. He was a lifelong member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Emmaus. Survivors: Donald will be lovingly remembered by Step Daughter, Joanne, wife of Jeremiah Haas, Pennsburg; Daughter In-law, Stella Baumer, Emmaus; Half-Brother Kerry Baumer; Jay Baumer. Donald is predeceased by Half-Sister, Katherine Baumer. Grandchildren Kathryn Elison, Fort Collins, CO; Michele Weiss and husband Dale, Orefield; Kim Bachman, Emmaus; Jerilyn Giacone and husband Joseph , Wantagh, NY; and Jolene Scarcia and husband, Anthony of Bethlehem,. Seven great grandchildren - Stephen, Brandon, Cody, Travis, Hope, Jennifer, and Jessica. Four great great grandchildren - Xavier, Lexi, Gage, and Stephen. Services: Funeral services Saturday, September 12, 2015 10:30 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, 250 Main St., Emmaus. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9:30 to 10:30AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
