Diane A. Keister, Ed.D, 71, of Lower Macungie Twp., died March 21, 2018 in her home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Irvin E. Keister. Born in Harrisburg, she was the daughter of the late Janice (Weibley) and Harry Alleman. Diane was a graduate of Gettysburg College, Kutztown University, and Lehigh University with a doctorate in Education. She was a teacher, elementary school principal, and the Director of Curriculum at Southern Lehigh School District. Diane was an active member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, where she served as the Director of the Nursery School and the Word for God's Children program, as well as a member of the Stephen Ministry program. She was a member of ASCD (Association of Supervisory and Curriculum Development).

Diane loved working with children and helping them to grow. She enjoyed spending time with grandchildren, traveling, reading, and crafting.

Survivors: Husband, Irvin; Daughter, Denel wife of Gary Bingel of Bridgewater, NJ; Son, Drew Keister and wife Mary of Fogelsville; Brother, Harry Alleman, III and wife Judi of Mechanicsburg; Grandchildren, Rowen, Lindy, Alina, and Eden.

Services: A memorial service will be held on Thurs., March 29, 2018 at 3:00 PM in The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus, PA 18049. Visitation 2:00 to 3:00 PM in the church. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
