Diana M. (Serafin) McCarthy, 70, of Allentown, passed away August 28, 2015. She was the beloved wife of Richard J. McCarthy, to whom she was married for 49 years this past November. She was a homemaker who loved the beach and finding treasures at garage sales. Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was the daughter of Robert E. Serafin and the late Elaine H. (Hertus) Serafin. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus. Survivors: She is survived by her father and husband; brother, Robert and wife Tina Serafin of Slatington; sisters, Elaine, wife of John Haury of Port Orange, Florida, Roberta, wife of Ronald Heiser of Slatington; and brother-in-law, Earl Pugh of Emmaus; niece, Jennifer Pugh-Stephens; grand-niece, Sarah Stephens; and many nieces and nephews. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 1, 2015, at 11:00 AM in St. Ann's Catholic Church, 415 South 6th St., Emmaus. A viewing will be held on Monday, August 31, 2015, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Tuesday, September 1, 2015, from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Schantz Funeral Home P.C. 250 Main St., Emmaus, PA 18049.
