Obituary

Dennis J. Reilly, 85, of Lower Macungie Township, passed away peacefully on Feb. 4, 2026, at Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the devoted husband of Kathleen M. (McCallion) Reilly, with whom he shared 59 years of marriage. Born in Brooklyn, NY, Dennis was the son of the late Daniel and Genevieve (Molloy) Reilly. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Dennis began his professional career at Grumman Aircraft before moving into operations at Dun & Bradstreet, where he dedicated 25 years of service. His leadership and commitment led to his retirement in 1999 as Vice President. Dennis was an active member of St. Thomas More Catholic Church. He served faithfully as a Eucharistic Minister and was an altar server for funeral Masses. Dennis embraced life’s simple joys. He was an avid golfer and former member of Brookside Country Club, enjoyed the craft of making his own wine, and was a passionate sports fan, proudly rooting for the New York Giants and New York Yankees. Above all else, Dennis cherished his role as “Dar,” finding his greatest happiness in time spent with his beloved grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Kathleen, Dennis is survived by his children: Dennis G. Reilly and his wife, Mary; Timothy J. Reilly and his wife, Cindy; and Aileen Fisher. He will be lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Shannon (wife of Andrew) Johnson, Meghan (wife of Brian) Royce, Hailey (partner of Azilee Curl), Molly, Annie, Delaney, and Liam; and by his cherished great-granddaughter, Reilly. He was predeceased by his sister, Maureen Kearns.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 1040 Flexer Avenue, Allentown. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. in the church. Interment, with military honors, will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus.
