Daniel J. O’Donnell, 85, of Macungie, passed away May 19, 2026 in Arden Courts of Allentown. He was the husband of Dianne M. (Johnson) O’Donnell. Born in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late Joseph and Sarah (Rodgers) O’Donnell. He honorably served his country in the Navy from 1959 to 1963 aboard the U.S.S. Des Moines. Dan worked as a shift supervisor and superintendent for M.A.N. Roland for 40 years before retiring. Dan was an avid nature enthusiast who enjoyed hiking the Shenandoah Mountains and exploring state parks down the east coast.

Daniel is survived by his wife, Dianne; son, Brian Scott O’Donnell; stepson, Gregory Johnson and wife Amber; stepdaughters, Lori wife of Douglas Matika and Paula Yeager; 2 grandchildren; step grandchildren, Hunter and Grace; 3 step great grandchildren; brother, James O’Donnell; sister Kate O’Donnell.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
