Clarice F. Forbes, 97, of Allentown, passed away April 18, 2026, in St. Luke’s Hospital – Allentown Campus. She was the wife of the late James O. Forbes. Born in Farwell, MN, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand W. and Clara L. (Johnson) Irgens. Clarice worked as a registered nurse for Rockwell International for 43 years before retiring. She was a member of Camp Santo Episcopal Center, Oakhurst, CA.

Clarice is survived by her sons, Mark Johnson and wife Nelly and Scott Johnson; daughter, Kimberlee, wife of Dan Melideo; grandchildren, Lisa, Tim, Greg, Bryan, Kristin, Danielle, and Chase; many great-grandchildren; and her sister, Fran Holmen. She was predeceased by a son, Paul Johnson.

Clarice will be remembered for her warmth and kindness, which will be missed greatly. Her family finds comfort in seeing cardinals, a gentle reminder that she is still with them.

Clarice will be laid to rest at the Camp Santo Episcopal Conference Center in Oakhurst, CA. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Clarice’s memory may be made to St Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
