Cherolyn J. Washburn, age 81, of Emmaus, passed away on July 19, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Hospital - Cedar Crest in Allentown. She was the loving wife to the late Frederick J. Washburn with whom they shared many years of marriage. Born in Emmaus, she was a daughter of the late Charles H. and Elsie M. (Kleinsmith) Meitzler.

She graduated from Emmaus High School in 1960 and earned her Nursing Degree from St. Luke's School of Nursing. She was a Nurse for 50 years and was very proud of her nursing career. Her specialty was Orthopedics and Trauma and various other nursing positions.

Cherolyn enjoyed spending time with her daughter Lori at the beach and had a huge love for dogs.

Cherolyn is survived by her daughter, Lori Washburn; brother Charles R. Meitzler and wife Lisa; sister, Marlene D. Sebring; several nieces and nephews and her beloved granddogs, Bailey and Trixie. She is predeceased by sister Sandra Ashman.

Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus, PA 18049. Visitation 10:00-11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will be in Northwood Cemetery in Emmaus.
