Charles P. Pappy Wieand Charles P. Pappy Wieand, 96, of Green Valley, AZ, formerly of Allentown, died April 8, 2009 in Tuscon, AZ. He was the widower of the late Miriam L. (Hunsicker) Wieand. Born in Guths Station, he was the son of the late Preston and Stella (Buchman) Wieand. He was the owner of the former Charles P. Wieand Installation Service for many years, retiring in 1975. He was a member of the Lutheran Congregation of Jerusalem Western Salisbury Union Church, where he served on church council for 9 years. He was a life member of the Greenleaf Lodge #561 F&AM, Lehigh Consistory, Tall Cedar of Lebanon #41, Rajah Shrine, Rajah Crippled Children Hospital, Million Dollar Club Shrine, Rajah Shrine Hill Billies, and the Rajah Crazy Camel Club. He was a charter and life member of the Lehigh Shrine Club, Guthsville Rod and Gun Club, Tri Clover, Greenawald, and Cetronia Fire Companies. He was a life member of the Vienna Odd Fellow Lodge #847 and the Travelers Protective Associates. Survivors: Daughter, Shirley A. wife of Donald P. Beach of Green Valley, AZ; Daughter-in-law, Lorene A. Susie wife of James L. Wagner of Sherrills Ford, NC; Grandchildren, Valerie A. wife of Dennis C. Peiffer, Donna L. wife of Edward Birdsell, and Thomas C. Wieand; 7 Great Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Ronald C. Wieand and 3 sisters, Sadie Schraden, Verna Wieand and Helen Walk. Services: Funeral Services Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 11:00 AM in Jerusalem Western Salisbury Union Church, 3441 Devonshire Road, Allentown, PA 18103.
