IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Charles M.
O'Connor, Jr.
June 1, 1954 – December 25, 2023
Charles Michael O'Connor, Jr. was born at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ to parents Eleanor (Pierce) and Charles Michael O'Connor, Sr.
Chuck grew up in his beloved Radburn section of Fair Lawn. He attended St. Ann's Grammar School, and then moved onto Don Bosco Prep graduating in1972 being awarded the prestigious Ironman Award. From there, a dream come true for a Fair Lawn boy, Chuck made his move to South Bend, Indiana to attend The University of Notre Dame. He was a man of humble spirit, and soft demeanor. Chuck was a gifted athlete. He played baseball at ND, another dream come true for him. He graduated in 1976. The proudest ND Alumnus. Add a proud Jets fan too. Much like his personality, he was loyal and steadfast even though he lived in Eagle territory!
Without a doubt, the most important/meaningful part of Chuck's life began with the birth of his first born, Charles Michael, III, "Charlie". Shortly thereafter, #2, Kevin arrived. Two darling, energetic, curious boys. They were Chuck's reason for being. He loved his boys with all of his heart and leaves them with his tremendous legacy.
Chuck met his true love, Lynda in December of 1998. They married August 2002 and started their happily ever after, and it was. They were soul mates and a gift to one another.
Chuck is survived by his wife Lynda O'Connor of Alburtis, PA; Charlie and his wife Joelle O'Connor of Carlstadt, NJ; Kevin and his wife, Hope O'Connor of Fair Lawn, NJ and granddaughters, Sloane, and Maeve. He also leaves a brother, Bernie and wife Mary of Avon, CT; proud uncle of Ryan O'Connor of Darien, CT, Ally O'Connor Bartram of Boston, MA and Erin O'Connor Barrett of Hingham, MA.
