Charles N. Bergstresser, 87, of Lower Macungie Twp., passed away Sat., Nov. 14, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest. He was the husband of Twilajean E. (Marsteller), with whom he was married to for 61 years. Born in Lower Macungie Twp., he was the son of the late Francis N. and Violet N. (Baumer) Bergstresser. He was a graduate of Allen High School and Allentown Business College. A Korean War veteran, he served in the U.S. Army 24th Infantry Division. He was employed at the Macungie Bank, GAC Finance, Stuyvasant Life Ins., Bank of America, retiring from Chrysler First Financial in March 1990. He was an active member of Western Salisbury Lutheran Church, serving as the Lutheran Treasurer from 1968 - 2011. He enjoyed gardening and bird watching. Survivors: Wife; Daughter, Charlene D. Bergstresser and Robin M. Koch of Slatington; Daughter-in-Law, Jodie Kowalick; Grandchildren, Tanya (Steve) Burrows, Adam, Drew (Catie), and Morgan Bergstresser; Great Grandchildren, Ian and Megan Burrows; Brother, John (Marlene). He was predeceased by a son, David F. Services: Funeral Services will be held Wed., Nov. 18, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Jerusalem Western Salisbury Church, 3441 Devonshire Rd., Allentown. Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church. Interment with military honors will follow in Western Salisbury Cemetery. Schantz Funeral Home P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
