Cecelia R. Schantz, 97, of Winchester, MA and formerly of Emmaus, died July 23, 2014 in her daughter's residence. She was the widow of Vernon Hartman Schantz. Born in Emmaus, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Subilla (Walker) Schantz. She was a 1934 graduate of Emmaus High School. She worked in the insurance business for many years, retiring in 2002. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus. She was a member of the Macungie Woman's Club, serving as secretary from 1982 to 1986 and worked the election polls for many years. Survivors: Daughter, Linda S. wife of Robert Sullivan of Winchester, MA; Grandsons, Andrew Sullivan and wife Janean, Mark Sullivan, and David Sullivan and wife Emily; Great Granddaughters, Nora and Lucy. She was predeceased by a son, V. Joseph Schantz in 1970. Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 11:00 AM in St. Ann's Catholic Church, 415 South 5th St., Emmaus. Visitation 9:30 to 10:30 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street, Emmaus. Interment will follow in Upper Milford Mennonite Cemetery.
