Carolyn J. Powell, 70, of Macungie, passed on May 13, 2021 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.  She was the wife of Benjamin B. Powell.  Born in Hagerstown, MD, she was the daughter of Anna Jane (Draper) Kelley and the late Charles R. Kelley.  Carolyn worked for Buckeye Pipeline as an engineering specialist for over 35 years, retiring in 2009.  She was an active member of St. John's U.C.C., where she was the head of the social committee and treasurer of the adult Sunday School.  Carolyn especially loved spending time with her family and caring for her home.

Carolyn is survived by her husband Benjamin of 48 years; mother, Anna Jane of Allentown; son, Sean L. Powell and wife Terri of Allentown; daughter, Carrie A. wife of Sean Pearson of Valencia, PA; sister, Joyce M. Whittington of Hagerstown, MD; grandchildren, Faith and Hope Pearson and Krystine Powell.

Funeral services will be held on Fri., May 21, 2021 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
