Carolyn C.M. Hamscher, 61, of Allentown, died April 18, 2018 in Lehigh Valley Hospital.  She was the widow of Mark E. Hamscher.  Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Dr. John and Eleanor (Tubo) Madonna.  Carolyn worked as a RN in the operating room at Lehigh Valley Hospital for 20 years.  She was an active leader in the "Jesus Calling" prayer group.  S he was a beloved mother and Granny. Her favorite thing was to spend time with her family and close friends as well as her cats.

She is survived by her Son, Daniel E. Hamscher and fiancée Christine Minekime of Hereford; Daughters, Amy M. wife of Jacob Smerekar of Easton and Janelle R. Hamscher and David Blank of Emmaus; Sisters, Kathryn wife of Shelby Flom of Bethlehem, Kim Rose of Bethlehem, and Diane Madonna-Mauer of Nevada; Granddaughters, Athena Hamscher and Veona Gilbreath; Nieces and Nephews, Lori, Erik, Drew, Christopher, Jesse and Jason.  She was predeceased by siblings, Eleanor Geist and John Madonna.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sat., April 21, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home.  Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Emmaus.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Schantz Funeral Home, P.C. to defray funeral expenses.
