Carolann H. Knecht, 77, of Salisbury Twp., died Nov. 17, 2021 in Above and Beyond, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Sherwood R. "Woody" Knecht. Born in Nazareth, she was the daughter of the late Ignatz P. and Anna E. (Bayda) Sakasitz. Carolann worked at the former Bethlehem Steel for 17.5 years, then earned her real estate license and worked for Patt White Real Estate until retiring. She was a member of St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, Emmaus. Carolann enjoyed writing poetry, 36 were published in the U.S.

Carolann is survived by her twin sister: Carolynn (John A.) McNamara of Allentown; brother: Raymond J. (Mary E.) Sakasitz of Bethlehem; many nieces, nephews, great nieces & great nephews. Predeceased by a brothers: Richard J. Sakasitz and Ignatius P. Sakasitz.

A viewing will be held 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 24, 2021 at the Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main Street – Emmaus, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Ann's Roman Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th Street – Emmaus. The interment will conclude services at the Calvary Cemetery, Emmaus.
