Carol Ann Conway, 80, of Emmaus, PA died peacefully in her home on May 11, 2017. Born July 12, 1936 in Pottsville, PA, she is predeceased by her parents, Edward and Catherine (Bortzel) Brahler of Pottsville, PA, brother, Edward Brahler and sisters Mary Louise (Brahler) Moran and Joan (Brahler) Glosser. Carol (also known as "CC" by her grandchildren and family) was an incredible mother, homemaker, wife, friend and grandmother. Before marrying and raising her family, Carol was a Medical Technologist at the Pottsville Hospital. After raising her family Carol worked at the Bon Ton Department Store and The Women's Health Center of Allentown. Carol also volunteered as a "Lunch Lady" at the St Thomas More Catholic School. Besides spending time with her large family, Carol was a fabulous cook, avid gardener and enjoyed reading, walking and bird watching.
Survivors: Survivors include her husband Walter R. Conway, her daughter, Catherine (Mark S.) Steiner of Emmaus, Pa, and granddaughter, Carlie Steiner of Washington D.C., son Timothy E. Conway (Krystina B.); grandsons Peter, Adam and Sam; son Christopher Conway (Kristen C.) grandsons Ian and Teagh; son John F. Conway (Dawn H.); granddaughters Ailish, Adderyn and Aoibhinn; son Matthew Conway (Jodey C.); granddaughter Madeline and grandson William, brothers Frederick Brahler, Joseph Brahler and Richard Brahler, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Services: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at 11:00 AM in St. Ann's Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th Street. Emmaus . Viewing Tuesday 6:00 to 7:30 PM at Schantz Funeral Home, P.C. 250 Main St., Emmaus and Wednesday 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church. Interment will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Emmaus.
Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wildlands Conservatory, 3701 Orchid Place, Emmaus, PA 18049.
