Carmella A. Pape, 96, of Macungie, died peacefully January 16, 2024 in her home.  She was the wife of the late Carl T. Pape.  Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Vincent and Mary (Marino) Rucireta.  Carmella worked with her husband and later in retail sales for Macy's and Fashion Bug, retiring at the age of 72.  She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus.  She was a past Cub Scout Leader and bowled in a bowling league for many years.

Carmella will be remembered by her daughter, Tessa Marie wife of Scott Masiado of Macungie; sons, Judd M. Pape of Coopersburg and Michael Pape and wife Patricia of Kingman, AZ; grandchildren, Kelsy, Taylor, Brooke, Ashleigh, Erin, Brandi, Christine, and Shannon; 6 great grandchildren.  She was predeceased by sons, Allen A. Pape and Carl V. Pape, brother, Dominic and sisters, Rose and Theresa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Sat., Jan. 20, 2024 at 11:00 AM in St. Ann's Catholic Church, 415 S. 6th St., Emmaus.  Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the church.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
