Bruce C. Reiss, 80, of Emmaus, died May 3, 2017 in Lehigh Valley Inpatient Hospice. He was the husband of Leanna H. (Bittenbender) Reiss. Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Henry M. and Ruth S. (Sallade) Reiss. Bruce worked as a equipment operator for the Borough of Emmaus for many years, retiring in 2002. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Emmaus. He was a life member of Fire Company #1, former fire fighter for Emmaus Volunteer Fire Department, and volunteered for the Emmaus Ambulance Corps. Bruce was an avid sports fan, enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golfing.

Survivors: Wife of 58 years, Leanna; Sons, Douglas Reiss and wife Lori, John Reiss and wife Tammy, Jeffrey Reiss, and Richard Reiss and wife Susan, all of Emmaus; Brothers, Robert and David Reiss of Emmaus; Sisters, Ethel Boyer of Seisholtzville and Susan Craddock of Allentown Grandchildren, Garrett, Kyle, Katie, and Chelsea; Great Grandchildren, Shiann, Izabella, and Caleb. He was predeceased by sisters, Shirley and Gloria.

Services: Funeral Services will be held on Monday, May 8, 2017 at 7:30 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 6:00 to 7:30 PM in the funeral home. Private interment will be in Northwood Cemetery.
