Bruce A. Hillegass, of Bethany Beach, DE, formerly of Limeport, died May 19, 2017 at Beebee Medical Center. Born in Allentown, he was the son of Joan D. (Highland) Hillegass of Macungie and the late Robert R. Hillegass, Sr. Bruce worked as a locomotive engineer for Norfolk Southern Railroad for 17 ½ years, retiring in 2011. He honorably served his country in the Marine Corp during the Vietnam era. He was a member of Chestnut Hill Church and Beacon Baptist Church.

Survivors: Mother; Daughters, Tammy wife of Noah Frazier of Macungie, Danielle wife of John Rivera of Dover, DE, and Andrea wife of Nevin Beson of Emmaus; Brother, Scott K. Hillegass of Northampton; Sisters, Susan wife of Ronald Masters of Emmaus, Robin wife of David Fuller of Vera Cruz, Dolores wife of John Norris of Allentown, and Penny wife of Glenn Link of Macungie; 11 Grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Robert R. Hillegass, II.

Services: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 12 Noon in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing 11:00 to 12 Noon in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow in Chestnut Hill Cemetery. At Bruce's request, please wear bright tropical colors.
