Beulah C. Steager Beulah C. Steager, 90, of Macungie, died March 12, 2009 in Lehigh Center. She was the widow of the late Kenneth S. E. Steager. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Annie (Dotterer) Hunsicker. She was Vice Chair Lady and Secretary of the Lehigh County Democratic Party, worked as a tipstaff for Judge John Davison and was the first woman Deputy Sheriff for Lehigh County serving for 11 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Emmanuel United Methodist Church, Allentown. Survivors: Sons, Richard L. Steager and wife Terry of Emmaus, Edward W. Steager and wife Debra of Old Zionsville, and Donald D. Steager and wife Susan of Whitehall; Daughter, Patricia wife of Elwood Bittner of Allentown; Brother, Spurgeon Hunsicker of Macungie; Sister, Shirley Rohrbach of Breinigsville; 14 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren. She was predeceased by a son, Kenneth S. E. Steager, Jr.; Brothers, Willis, Carl , and Willard Hunsicker; Sisters, Goldie Geist and Eleanor Glase. Services: Funeral Services Wed., March 18, 2009 at 10:30 AM in the Schantz Funeral Home, Inc., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Viewing Tuesday 7:00 to 8:30 PM and Wednesday 9:30 to 10:30 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery, Macungie. Online condolences may be made to www.schantzfh.com.
