Betty Lou Wetherhold, 93, of Emmaus, passed away Oct. 11, 2026 at home surrounded by family. Wife of the late Harry J. Wetherhold, she was born in Emmaus to the late Elmer F. and Bertha J. (DeEsch) Keller. A devoted mother, Betty made raising her family her life's passion. A 1950 Emmaus High School graduate, she was class secretary/treasurer and girls basketball captain. She belonged to St. John’s U.C.C. and the Emmaus Recreation Committee. Her dream of teaching and coaching found a home in EYA Saturday morning basketball. She loved fishing and she bowled in local and state tournaments as a US Bowling Association member for 60 years.

Betty Lou is survived by her daughter, Karen wife of Gary Sell; sons, Kevin, wife Trixie, Kurt, wife Karen, Kyle, wife Suzan, and Kelly, wife Adria; 15 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

A celebration of Betty Lou’s life will be held on Thurs., Nov. 5, 2026 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus. Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Northwood Cemetery.
