Bernice A. Ritter, 82, formerly of Emmaus, died May 30, 2018, in Caroline Hospice, Denton, MD.  She was the widow of Richard L. Ritter, Sr.  Born in Shamokin, she was the daughter of the late Charles W. and Anna B. (Urdzik) Deveraux.  She was a graduate of Moravian College.  Bernice worked as a social worker for Headstart and at the Music Box Shop, Emmaus.  Bernice was a very dedicated wife and mother and had a deep faith.

She is survived by her children, Pamela wife of Wendell Bila, Richard L. Ritter, Jr. and wife Karen, and Denise Heinbuch; Grandchildren, Christine, Christopher, Jennifer, Ashley, Tiffany, Nicole, Melissa, Jessica, Emily, and William, and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 3:00 PM in St. Matthew's EC Church, 35 North 5th St., Emmaus.  Viewing 2:00 to 3:00 PM in the church.  Interment will be held on Tuesday at 12:30 PM in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
