Barry G. Woodring, 74, of Emmaus, went home to be with his Lord and Savior July 2, 2015 in Lehigh Valley Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Linda L. (Lagler) Woodring, with whom he celebrated 47 years of marriage. Born in Catasauqua, he was the son of the late George R. and Mae L (Kratzer) Woodring. He was a 1959 graduate of Catasauqua High School. He co-owned and operated Woodring's Market for 33 years with his wife, retiring in 2004. He was a longtime member of Lehigh Valley Baptist Church, Emmaus. He honorably served his country in the Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. Survivors: Wife; Daughters, Andrea S. Andres of Whitehall and Susanne L. Velas of Whitehall; Sister, Diane wife of Richard Hogan of Allentown; Brother, David Woodring and wife Mona of South Carolina; Grandchildren, Paige and Dylan Velas and Callista and Justin Andres; Nieces and Nephews. He was predeceased by a Sister, Gail Dieter. Services: Funeral Service Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 11:00 AM in Lehigh Valley Baptist Church, 4702 Colebrook Ave., Emmaus, PA 18049. Viewing 9:30 to 11:00 AM in the church. Interment with military honors will follow in Northwood Cemetery. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
