Anthony L. Schiavone, Sr. Anthony L. Schiavone Sr., 80, of Center Valley, died Jan. 23, 2011 in his home. He was the husband of Eleanor F. (Witkowski) Schiavone. They celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary in July 2010. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Julius and Rachael (Martino) Schiavone. He was a draftsman checker for Mack Trucks, Inc., World Headquarters, Allentown for 35 years retiring in 1987. An excellent musician he was a member of Lehigh Valley Musicians Association and played in the Catasauqua Band. He also was a member the Knights of Columbus and Mack Trucks softball league. He honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean Conflict, serving as a screaming eagle in the 101st airborne division. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Limeport. Survivors: Loving Wife; Son, Anthony L. Schiavone, Jr. and wife Kathleen of Catasauqua; Daughters, Carol wife of Larry Rikli of Emmaus, Susan Schiavone at home; Grandchildren, Corine, Braden, Hilary, and Heidi. He was predeceased by brothers, Leonard and Daniel Schiavone and sisters, Jenny Petito, Mary Dembroski and Lucy Saylor. Services: Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, Jan 28, 2011 at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph Catholic Church, 5050 St. Joseph Road, Limeport.
