Anita D. Eppel, 85, of Emmaus, died December 7, 2016 in Above and Beyond. She was the longtime fiancée  of Hans D. Plachetzki. Born in Germany, she was the daughter of the late Josef and Anna Dorothea (Bucheit) Darimont. She worked in the office for the former Fairtex.

Survivors: Daughter, Elaine I. Cornetto of Macungie; Brother, Hans Jurgen of Germany; Sister, Ingrid Steffes of Germany; Grandchildren, Paulette wife of Brent Labenberg and Anthony D. Cornetto, III and wife Courtney; Great Grandchildren, Drew, Darren, Dylana, Isabella, Sylvie, and Lilia.

Services: Memorial Services Saturday, Dec. 17, 2016 at 11:30 AM in St. John's U.C.C., 139 North 4th St., Emmaus. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
