Althea Malera Hoffman Althea Malera Hoffman, 92, of Allentown, died Sept. 5, 2013 in Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice. She was the widow of Edgar L. Hoffman. She was the daughter of the late Stanley and Pearl (Seidel) Siegfried. She worked in the garment industry for 40 years, retiring in 1974. She also was a former model at local department stores. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church, Emmaus. She enjoyed knitting, arts and crafts, bingo, and was an avid Phillies fan. Survivors: Son, Edward S. Hoffman of Allentown; Niece, caregiver, and nearly like a daughter, Patsy Tyson of Alburtis; numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brother, Leroy Siegfried and sisters Pauline Yenser and Grace Huber.
