Obituary

Allen Marlin Gehman, 91, of Fellowship Community, died May 9, 2022 in his residence.  He was the husband of Dorothy (Ritter) Gehman.  Born in Emmaus, he was the son of the late Allen and Claire (Baus) Gehman.  He honorably served his country in the Army during the Korean War.  Being stationed in Korea, he was assigned to the U.S. 8 th Army, 49 th transport BN.  Following his Korean service, he also served in the Pennsylvania National Guard 51 st AAA Brigade from 1956 to 1962.  Allen worked for A.O. Gehman, Air Products as a supervisor for 32 years, retiring in 1988.  After retirement, he worked as the maintenance supervisor for Fellowship Community until retiring again in 2019.  He was a member of Rock of Ages Bible Fellowship Church.

Allen is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Dorothy; daughter, Cindy L. wife of Jeffrey Kaufman of Bethlehem; grandchildren, Sara Staschak, Steven Sutter, and David Sutter; great granddaughters, Leah and Hannah Sutter.  He was predeceased by brothers, Orville and Albert Gehman and sisters, Lois Dickert and Naomi Rude.

Memorial services with military honors will be held on Fri., May 13, 2022 at 11:00 AM in Zentz Community Center at Fellowship Community, 3020 Fellowship Dr., Whitehall.  Visitation 10:00 to 11:00 AM.  Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Benevolent Care Fund at Fellowship Community, 3000 Fellowship Dr., Whitehall, PA 18052.
