Dr. Allen C. Brader Dr. Allen C. Brader, 88, Allentown Orthodontist, died July 23, 2009 in his home. He was the husband of the late Betty R. (Reinhard) Brader. Born in Laurys Station, he was the son of the late Ralph and Etta (Smart) Brader. Dr. Brader completed predental matriculation at Muhlenberg College in 1941, was a OKU honors graduate at the School of Dentistry, Temple University, DDS, 1944; he acquired an MS degree in dental specialty of orthodontics a the University of Illinois, Chicago, 1948. Dr. Brader practiced orthodontics exclusively over 43 years in Allentown and Bethlehem from 1948 to 1991. Dr. Brader was the chief of the Dental Department of the former Allentown Hospital from 1964 to 1974. He honorably served his country as a lieutenant in the Navy during WWII. He was a member of many professional organizations, serving both locally and nationally. Dr. Brader was an avid aviation enthusiast and was a world traveler. Survivors: Sons, Gary A. Brader of Allentown and Gregg R. Brader of Emmaus; Daughters, Dr. Gwen E. Tunstall, dentist, of Baytown, TX and Gail B.
