Allan D. Hunger, 75, of Emmaus, died June 1, 2023 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest.  He was the husband of Donna M. (Heimbach) Hunger. Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late Carl and Doris (Hunsicker) Hunger.  Allan was a 1966 graduate of Emmaus High School and enlisted in the Marine Corps.  He honorably served two tours of duty in the Marine Corps in Vietnam, where he was awarded two purple hearts.  He worked for Superior Combustion, Mack Trucks, and Akrion Technologies until retiring in 2008.  He was a member of the Marine Corps League, Macungie VFW, and loved hunting and fishing and was a member of the Hemlock Hunting Club.

Allan is survived by his wife of 53 years, Donna; brothers, Barry Hunger and Eric Hunger; brothers-in-law, Larry Heimbach, Frank Bradford, and Michael Cerulli; nieces and nephews, Greg Bradford and family, Gino Cerulli and family, Rikki Savidge and family, Kaitlyn Kanusky and family, and Dustin Hunger; Theo, his current emotional support dog.  He was predeceased by a sister, Cynthia Cerulli.

Memorial services with military honors will be held on Tues., June 6, 2023 at 1:00 PM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus.  There will be no calling hours.  A celebration of Allan's life will be announced by the family at a later date.
