IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Alfred D.
Neff, Iii
April 18, 1951 – February 14, 2022
Alfred D. Neff, III, 70, of Emmaus, died February 14, 2022 in Fellowship Manor. Born in Bethlehem, he was the son of the late Helen A. (Anderko) and Alfred D. Neff, Jr. Al was a 1969 graduate of Emmaus High School and he graduated from LCCC. Right out of community college Al worked for the Penske racing team. He traveled with them working as part of the pit crew. Al went on to become a welder and worked in various shipyards in New England, on the West Coast, and in Alaska and Hawaii. He loved to sail and enjoyed his time on Puget Sound and the Pacific Ocean when he lived in Seattle. Upon returning to Pennsylvania Al became a pharmacy technician and worked for B. Braun, and he also served as caretaker for his father.
Al is survived by his sister, Elizabeth A. wife of Dr. Scott Schwartz of Liberty Hill, TX; nephews who he adored, Nicholas Schwartz and wife Amanda of Pflugerville, TX and Benjamin Schwartz and wife Katherine of Dallas, TX; great niece, Isabelle Schwartz; great nephew, Arthur Schwartz; aunts, Doris Focht of Macungie and Faye Anderko of Bethlehem.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., Emmaus is handling arrangements.
Because of Al's love of animals, donations can be made to The Center for Animal Health and Welfare, Easton or Animals in Distress, Coopersburg.
