Aaron D. Carl, Jr., 91, of Bethlehem, died December 10, 2014 in Fellowship Manor. He was the widower of Susanna G. (Heil) Carl. Born in Old Zionsville, he was the son of the late Clara R. (Berky) and Aaron D. Carl, Sr. He worked for Bethlehem Steel for 44 years, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the ICC Independent Club, was a little league coach, enjoyed hunting, and was an avid Phillies and Penn State fan. He honorably served his county in the Army during WWII as a Technical Transportation Specialist, where he was stationed in Germany and where he meet his wife. He was a Corporal earning the WWII Victory Medal, and the Army of Occupation Medal. Survivors: Son, Michael B. Carl and wife Dory of Bethlehem; Daughter, Rosemary E. wife of William R. Recard of McConnellsburg; Sisters, Evelyn Marsteller of Lady Lakes, FL, Jean Moyer of Emmaus, and Joan Eisenhard of Trexlertown; 2 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren. Services: Funeral Service Monday, Dec. 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Schantz Funeral Home, P.C., 250 Main St., Emmaus, PA 18049. Viewing 10:00 to 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment with military honors will follow in Old Zionsville U.C.C. Cemetery.
